The concept behind this project was to choose a word to define your model's concept. The word I chose was dialogue. We were given guidelines for the kit of parts we could use for the model, except for the roof. We were given no restrictions to the type of roof we chose. My concept used the word dialogue and looked at it from internal and external perspectives. The two reflecting pools create an external dialogue and provide different paths to the solution (monolith). These different pathways in circulation lead to the monolith in the back corner, which represents the end or solution reached by the dialogue. The interior room underneath the roof serves as a place for internal dialogue to occur. Here the three light portals reflect off the mirrored floor of the interior space to provide illumination to the space. These light portals also create a bridge from the internal dialogue to the external world.
